The proposed recommendations from the Massachusetts Commission on Combating Antisemitism are not supported by research or best practices for dealing with discrimination and bias.
Jews and all minorities are safest in societies in which there is free speech and the right to protest.
Massachusetts policies on antisemitism:
- Should be aligned with policies that address discrimination and bias against all minority groups
- Should not conflate criticism of Israel with antisemitism
- Should not suppress political speech, including criticism of Israel, in any setting, including schools
